Hillsborough County

County-level ALPR and Flock. Contract dollars unknown here.

This page is the county layer. Hillsborough County Sheriff (HCSO) appears in USA TODAY Flock Search as org 2615: 380,931 searches; 579 known users; 34,407 unique plates; 68% redacted; top printed reason INVESTIGATION (49,176). Those figures come from the same compilation already printed on the Tampa page. An HCSO Flock/ALPR dollar contract is unknown on this site. The EFF Atlas of Surveillance lists HCSO Flock, citing Plant City Observer reporting. Atlas is open-source research, not a sheriff inventory.

FDOT state-road deadline, 30 Sep 2026: TPD told WFTS it removed all 17 ALPRs in State Highway System right-of-way, and HCSO said its state-road cameras were removed or being taken down, with no count named (WFTS). City streets and county roads stay. That is not a City Council cancel. Plant City is still active; item 26-388 remains a Flock Camera Presentation on the clerk agenda (minutes unposted). A neighbor Change.org petition asks to ban flock cameras in Hillsborough County. Soft civic asks only on this page.

Do not treat as a Flock hearing unless a posted agenda line says so. As of Tue morning 6 Oct, the posted Sep 16 eagenda packet still has no Flock, ALPR, or license-plate title verified. No post-meeting Flock act invented here. Red-light and school-zone camera reports are not ALPR. Re-check the packet before you go.
