Current law-enforcement software is branded VehicleManager (historically LEARN / PlateSearch). Fixed, mobile, and trailer cameras feed plate reads and location history into a hosted cloud. Motorola's own data-management FAQ says law-enforcement data sits in Azure Gov, and that agencies may share to other law-enforcement users inside VehicleManager. The FAQ says there is no mechanism in that product to share LE data outside VehicleManager.
A commercial plate database from repossession vehicles, historically Digital Recognition Network (DRN), is a separate set. Motorola says it is not commingled with agency data, and that law-enforcement customers can be given access to query it. That commercial layer is the long-standing civil-liberties issue with this brand. It is not a claim that Flock sold LPR data. Do not treat every Vigilant hit as a repo-truck read.

Sheriff Bob Gualtieri told the Tampa Bay Times the office uses Flock, Axon, and Vigilant. This page does not invent a Vigilant camera count for Pinellas, and it does not split which poles sit on which vendor.
Two cameras · ending Oct 2026
A department spokesperson told the Times the city partnered with Vigilant for two license plate readers and does not plan to renew when the contract ends in October 2026. Savings were described as going to a tips app and admin tools. That is a department statement in the Times, not a contract PDF this site opened, and not a field count.
Temple Terrace red-light cameras are a different program. Do not mix those with the two Vigilant ALPRs.
TPD, HCSO, Plant City, and Pasco SO are not sourced here as Vigilant ALPR agencies.

Ask the contract, the retention days, whether commercial / repo-truck data is enabled, who inside VehicleManager can search, and whether search-log summaries will be posted.
