Fleet 3 is Axon's in-car system: panoramic video plus a dedicated 4K ALPR sensor. Company help pages describe plate reads compared to agency hotlists, searchable traits such as color, make, and type, and upload into Axon Evidence (the same cloud many agencies already use for body-worn video). Axon's published product default for read/hit retention is 30 days. Saved-as-evidence follows the agency evidence schedule. That is a product default, not a local audit.
Outpost is a fixed outdoor unit: ALPR, vehicle-attribute recognition, and a livestream over LTE. Lightpost is a streetlight form of the same idea. Those are company product pages. This site has no sourced Outpost or Lightpost count in Tampa Bay. Do not treat a Fleet FAQ that says ALPR is "only" in Fleet 3 as company-wide. Later Outpost and Lightpost pages contradict that.
Sharing is not the same architecture as Flock's inter-agency camera network. Axon describes Partner API sharing and agency-controlled hotlists. Ask the agency who can search, the same as you would for Flock.
OS Investigate is Flock-only. It is not an Axon product.

ALPR swap canceled
Tampa Bay 28 reported the planned replacement: some roadside Flock cameras would move to Axon, with Daniels saying Axon was about $50,000 cheaper and already used for body cameras, Tasers, and evidence management. Later reporting said that planned Axon ALPR deal was canceled before its 1 Oct 2026 start. The county right-of-way Flock interlocal ended 30 Sept 2026, so about 60 county-right-of-way readers come down. Private, HOA, retail, and FDOT-right-of-way readers are a different bucket.

The Lakeland City Commission voted 7-0 to approve a ten-year sole-source Axon Master Services Agreement totaling $21,983,139.93. The city attorney memo says the package replaces the 2021 Axon deal and covers body-worn cameras, in-car video, TASER 7 to TASER 10, VR training, the AI Era Plan, and Axon Air drone-as-first-responder.
The AI Era Plan in the memo includes report drafting, translation, evidence transcription and search, policy reference, data capture, and case summaries or investigative aids. The memo also says year one is $1,200,077.01 after credits, and that future years can be terminated if funds are not appropriated. Lakeland still has a separate ongoing Flock ALPR issue. Memo line items do not prove a Fusus purchase.

Times survey
Sheriff Bob Gualtieri told the Tampa Bay Times the office uses Flock, Axon, and Vigilant. All deputies have access, as reported there. The Times story does not split how many poles or cars sit on each vendor.

Spokesperson Yolanda Fernandez told the Times that officers have Axon plate readers in patrol cars. The SPPD annual report has also introduced Fleet 3 in-car ALPR. That is separate from the city's Flock poles (FOX 13: Chief Holloway, 50 cameras, 30-day store as a department claim).
